In my personal opinion, connecting IntelliJ via MCP does not seem like a good choice at this point. After using it, Claude Code offers far superior usability and performance. It seems like a better option to use Claude Code while monitoring the progress through IntelliJ. Since "code" is now included within the Claude app, connecting to an MCP server seems meaningless. There is also no difference in token usage. I couldn't find a way to specify configuration files like Claude.md either. Since it follows a general conversational format, I am concerned about the consistency of the work.
Hello, first of all, thank you for watching the lecture and leaving a review. If you look at the release date of this course, it was first launched a year ago, and Claude Code did not exist at that time. While terminal-based development via Claude Code has only recently become active, at the time of filming, AI-integrated development was only possible through MCP, and I planned this lecture specifically to teach people about MCP. I apologize if my intentions were not clearly conveyed. ㅠㅠ
