This is a React course, not an Electron course. I felt something was off from the moment the initial React folder structure was set up. I'm not sure if this was developed using AI, but this is a React learning video. The core of Electron is handling the OS using Node.js and performing IPC communication, which is what everyone wants to learn. However, this course just has you install Electron to display a shell and then spends the entire time making a React timer. Anyone planning to watch this for Electron will be in big trouble. It's worse than the "Get Started" or "Tutorial" sections on the official Electron website.
Hello, .... Thank you for leaving your feedback. I would like to address your comments as they seem to deviate somewhat from the intended direction of this course. From the beginning, this course was not designed to be a standalone Electron course; rather, it is a course that covers the process of building a real-world application based on React and integrating it with Electron. A course that only explains Electron in depth can be learned sufficiently through official documentation alone, and even if filmed as a course, it would span a maximum of 2 to 3 hours. If I were to film a 3-hour course using information that anyone can easily find, what student would find it appealing enough to purchase? That is why this course focuses on building a functional app in combination with React, rather than just explaining simple concepts. In Chapter 1, I informed you that Electron is based on web technologies. Following that, the curriculum was structured to step-by-step implement features such as integration with React, simultaneous execution via concurrently, and in the latter half of Chapter 11, functions utilizing IPC communication—including settings pages, always-on-top windows, and location-independent notification handling. Additionally, at the end of each chapter, we ran React and Electron together so that you could directly verify the actual GUI results. Furthermore, I clearly indicated through the course title, introductory video, and curriculum that this is a course on building a React-based timer app. I find myself questioning whether you reviewed this information before purchasing my course. I will take your opinions into consideration. Thank you.
