I am a non-major and passed with exactly 60 points after studying for one week. To be honest, I was too lazy to even finish one full round of past exam questions, but looking back, I think I passed thanks to these lectures. If you solve the "Yellow Book" (SQLD practice guide) while watching this lecture, it will be so difficult that you might lose your mind. For those whose priority is just passing the exam, I think it's better to solve all the past questions here and in other theory books first, and then only move on to the Yellow Book if you have time left. While it was good for catching concepts I missed, the Yellow Book is much harder than the actual exam difficulty... I think it would be great if there were more explanations connecting confusing concepts, especially for problems where the examiner is clearly trying to trick you, like those involving "Null."
:) That's peak efficiency. Congratulations! As you mentioned, the "Yellow Book" contains many difficult problems. However, it's possible to pass without solving those extremely tough ones. Even in practical work, high-difficulty queries aren't used that often. Of course, being able to handle difficult queries can help you finish tasks faster, but that's usually more useful for those developing data-driven software. I am distributing a final summary document for concepts that might be confusing, but I will check to see if anything is missing. Thank you. You've worked hard. Congratulations again.
