I don't usually leave long reviews, but I'm writing this in hopes that it might help others who are in a similar position of retaking the exam. After failing once, your self-esteem takes a hit, and it's hard to find the motivation to study again. I felt the same way. However, this lecture at least gave me a reason to start over. It made me realize, "It's not that I can't do it at all; my method was just wrong." What I especially liked was the balance between the practice problems and the explanations. When looking at the explanations after solving the problems, it felt like I was relearning the flow of the solution rather than just checking the correct answer. That makes a bigger difference than you'd think. In the past, when I got a question wrong, I would just think, "Ah, I got it wrong again," and move on; but now, I've started to look at why I got it wrong more structurally. Since I haven't taken the exam yet, I don't know the results, but at least this time I feel much less anxious than before.
