As a working mom in my 4th year, I was running non-stop, only looking ahead, when I started thinking about 'being myself.' I don't think I had any time to think about what it means to be myself until now. I just thought everyone lives like this, but there was always something empty and unfulfilling somewhere inside me. Then I watched Kim Chang-ok's lecture video 'Kim Chang-ok Talks About the Language of Life' on YouTube, and I was so moved that I cried and laughed, and that's what led me to take this course! This course doesn't talk about general speech skills. It gives you time to look at yourself first in order to find the most suitable and natural way of speaking for you. It's too valuable to call it just a simple speech course - it's like a life lesson that helps you properly see who you are as a person. Kim Chang-ok definitely seems to radiate his unique humor and charm more in performance venues with large audiences. So until the early part of the course, I even thought 'Maybe I should have just watched more YouTube videos instead.' But the more I watched the course, the more I felt Kim Chang-ok's seriousness and genuine desire to share something that you can't see in other public videos, and I definitely think this course has its own unique charm. (Of course, he's still so funny throughout..!) Since I don't have much time, I watch it bit by bit while doing my makeup in the morning, so my progress is slow, but I'm going to take my time to reflect on it and definitely complete the course. If you're taking time to think about being yourself, or if you're not good at speaking and wonder how you can speak well, I absolutely recommend this course!
