Hello. I am a woman in my 50s living in China and teaching Korean at a university. My major is Chinese literature, so I am interested in Korean and Chinese data analysis. Most of the data analysis programs in China seem to utilize Python, so I was looking for a Python basics and web crawling course and ended up taking this course. Before taking this course, I took the entire free course that came with the Python basics book once, and also took a course that was summarized into two 30-minute lectures once, and then watched this course. In fact, I learned DOS in 1991, learned HTML tags on my own in 2000, and took an introductory course on R in 2017, but the R course I took at that time had a dull voice, the audio was too empty (he just typed hard and didn't explain much), and the lecture materials were lacking, so it was hard to follow. However, in this Python course, the teacher explained everything in detail with a powerful voice, so I was able to follow along without difficulty. I can't tell you how much strength I got from the encouragement you gave me! Detailed lecture materials were provided, so I downloaded them all, but I studied by entering the code one by one for my study, and in the process, I realized how important a period, a comma, a symbol, and capitalization differences are. I also really liked the way you explained the basics of Python and reviewed the knowledge you learned one by one through problem solving. And the speed control was great, so you could quickly go through easy explanations at 1.5x speed and listen to difficult parts at the original speed. It was also good that you didn't just pour out all your knowledge about Python or web crawling, but used your strengths in the field to organize and teach only the codes that can be used in practice. I personally find it effective to focus and immerse myself in studying, so I took the 15-hour course for about 40 hours, averaging 8 hours a day, and I also signed up for the data analysis course. (And it's also great that there's no limit to the lecture viewing period! I'll listen to it again and review it if I forget!) One thing I regret is that the lecture screen size can only be adjusted to the basic screen and full screen. In my case, I watch it by opening the Jupyter notebook screen on top of the lecture screen like a mobile window, so I think it would have been better if the lecture screen size could be adjusted a little. (For example, in the part where the lecture screen and table of contents appear together, I could reduce the size of the table of contents and increase the lecture screen.) I followed most of the Python part well, but when I got to the web crawling part, the site and source were a little different from what was explained, so I had to think a lot and follow along. I think this is inevitable due to the nature of the website. I was thinking about whether to learn a little more about web crawling and move on to data analysis or to first study data analysis, which was my original goal, and then take the second web crawling course. I decided to study data analysis first, but if I made a wrong choice, please let me know. I took the class every day and posted a review on my Naver blog. I am so touched that I can leave a review on this strong Inflearn site. I will listen to the next lecture diligently and leave another review. Thank you so much for creating such a great lecture!
Thank you so much for leaving such a great review. Programming is really hard for beginners, so I'm really glad that it helped you overcome this stage to some extent. It must have taken a lot of precious time to write such an honest review, but I've been feeling a bit dizzy lately and haven't been able to actively record the lectures, so this has been a great help. I think it would be right for Gilbeot to focus on data analysis first. Since it's based on the lectures you've seen in data analysis, I think you'll naturally become more familiar with it and the learning effect will be great. Above all, pandas and plotly will be powerful basic technologies for what you want to do. I highly recommend it as a technology for handling data.
