Rather than learning about specific technologies, I was able to learn how to write code. It's easy to overlook this aspect by focusing too much on technology, but the lectures helped me to get a sense of direction on how to write code, even if it performs the same function. The lectures helped to concretize the vague knowledge I had on certain topics!
