I've gained a bit of understanding about GraphQL. The only downside was that apollo-server-express has been deprecated, so the coding style is slightly different when installing with apollo/server. I struggled with the differences in how to write things like subscriptions here and there, but it was also fun to find and fix them. I should try using GraphQL for my next lightweight project.
