The first hurdle, Adapter, and the second hurdle, Database, are difficult to understand. If you just follow the code, you will only be exercising your fingers, so when you try to understand, ask yourself, "Why?" and think about the answer while understanding the code. The lecture doesn't really help with understanding. So it's hard to understand on your own.
