While listening to this lecture, I had a time to think about why Java has this kind of grammar. In the past, I learned the language with the thought that I had to just memorize the grammar, but now I feel that I have to learn it based on understanding. I also think that I have thought more about what good code is. I think I was able to get a little bit of a glimpse into what it means to think about code that considers others, eliminate duplication, and code efficiently.
