The lecture title is 'Portfolio Strategy', but in reality, it was a lecture that covered everything you need to know to get a job as a product designer. From the current state of the job market and how to explore companies, to detailed portfolio composition process, mental management during job hunting, and interview preparation after submitting documents. I can feel that the lecture was created by tightly packing in all the know-how. The lecture was conducted in such an easy language that even I, who was before I started job hunting in earnest, did not find it difficult at all by making sufficient use of Kiki's real-life cases and external video materials. In particular, I really liked the fact that action items and Notion templates given for each lecture, as well as the Discord link that allows you to communicate with other students, were provided. It was really helpful in that I could share the knowledge I learned with others and actually apply it to my own cases, rather than just listening to the lecture and stopping there. After listening to the lecture and looking back at my portfolio, I see a lot of shortcomings that I didn't see before.. I think I'm starting to get a feel for my portfolio that I roughly made by looking at Pinterest or Behance, and what the logical and hooking portfolio that Kiki emphasizes is. I'm going to review the lecture and go through the action items one by one, and aim to complete the portfolio before the start of the semester.
