Finally, I completed the teacher's Spring and JPA roadmaps! I completed the roadmaps in about 3 months, and I feel refreshed as I studied consistently. After listening to the 'Story I Want to Tell' part, I suddenly wanted to tell my story. I majored in humanities at a decent university, and got a job at a construction company that people call a godsend at the age of 27. The feeling of walking on clouds didn't even last two months, and my boss's stress was so severe that every day was hell after that. On top of that, I couldn't feel much reward in my work, so I think I really wandered a lot in my heart. Eventually, when I was 29 years old... I quit a company that my friends envied after 2 years, and with my parents' support, I went to the US to study for 2 years to get a pilot's license. After getting the license at the age of 31, I returned to Korea with the big dream of becoming a bookkeeper, but... I was frustrated again by the unprecedented pandemic (Corona). The airline market showed no signs of improving in the short term, and the result of pouring in two years, a lot of money, and my passion was a failure. After being depressed for a while and feeling listless, I learned about a national academy that trains Java developers at the recommendation of a friend. I originally really liked sitting in front of the computer (of course, playing games..), so when I was working at my first job, I tried to buy Java textbooks and study them on my own, but I was overwhelmed by the workload and couldn't do it. I remembered that time, so I decided to change my career to a full-time developer and enrolled in a national academy. At that time, I was 32 years old. After completing the 6-month national education, my first company was a typical SI company, but since there weren't many projects, I wasted 6 months at the headquarters, so I moved to another company out of a sense of crisis. The company I'm still working for now was a company that sells its own solutions on a B to B basis. I joined this company in January when I was 33, and I recently turned 35, becoming a junior developer in my third year and two years. It was good to have my own solution and experience complex product code, but the problem is that the product was developed 10 years ago, so I use an early version of the Spring Framework, and I am developing it with a technology stack and usage that does not fit the current trend. I had a lot of worries last year. It is easy to go to work, but I felt like I would be eliminated if I continued like this. So I started to focus on Mr. Yeong-Han's lectures. The more I studied, the more I felt like I had been hit in the back of the head with some insight about object-oriented programming. And the best part was that I enjoyed studying every lecture. As you said at the end, I really enjoyed listening to the lectures. That's because the teacher taught me how to do that. Having completed the roadmap, I think I have laid the foundation for growth in many areas in just 3 months, although I must now enter the acquisition stage. Of course, there are still so many things to study. And it will take a lot of time to acquire what I learned from you. However, I am not afraid. I think it is all thanks to you! Thanks to you, I have learned the joy of development and the joy of learning. In the future, I will acquire everything I have learned from you, and I will learn more and become a good developer. 35 years old and in my 3rd year.. It is a very late start compared to others, but I will not be obsessed with time and will continue to learn and acquire like I am now so that I can grow and become a better developer. Teacher! Thank you so much for everything, and I will follow up on all the lectures that will come out in the future. Thank you!
Tan, this entire process is really not easy, but if you enjoyed the lectures, you will definitely become a good developer. I sincerely think that maybe all the processes that go around and around in life were processes of finding the place that suits you best. You may have already seen it, but I would like to recommend the following video to Tan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHlyr8soUDM If you join a company where you can spread your wings, you will definitely grow greatly. I support you!
