❤ Developed an English curriculum that can be understood in just one hour because I was frustrated with being a non-English speaker; 2,000+ online and offline students
💛 From working at Korean-owned businesses during an Australian working holiday to now being a Team Lead Developer in Sydney
Famous language institutes, online courses, and mountains of vocabulary books. You’ve tried everything. Yet when you actually stand in front of a foreigner, even the words you know won’t come out.
The reason it never ends, even after spending 10 years on it, isn’t that there’s too much material. It’s because you treated grammar as a “list of things to memorize”. No matter how much you memorize, a list never gets shorter. But once you understand the principles, that’s all you need.
So in this live session, I won’t just explain. I’ll show you in real time how 10 years’ worth of grammar can be condensed into 60 minutes and how that process works.
In fact, I completely gave up on studying English while I was in school. During middle and high school, my skills were at the level of barely memorizing a few words and guessing on the tests, and my report cards always showed scores near the bottom.
But in my early 20s, I developed a goal of seizing greater opportunities as a developer and experiencing a wider world abroad. That was when the most grueling “English debugging” of my life began. I poured tens of millions of won into supposedly famous academies and online courses, but the result was always failure.
There was one cause: memorizing everything blindly. Memorizing rules and patterns wholesale was a way of studying that simply didn’t stick, no matter how much I repeated it, for someone like me who wasn’t naturally gifted at languages.
I changed the question. Instead of "How do I memorize this?" I asked "Why does it follow this order?"
Then I began to see that English operates not through memorization, but according to clear principles. Grammar points that had been scattered separately ultimately came together into seven cases. The moment the list of things to memorize was reduced to seven, the time it took was reduced as well.
I systematized all of this logic into a course, and thankfully, it received overwhelming praise from countless developers on Inflearn, saying, "English finally makes sense logically".
