Thank you for joining the challenge! I finally received the physical book yesterday! :)
Some of you may find the book a little large. I heard that for this edition, they made the book slightly larger in format to keep it from being too thick.
I imagine those who pre-ordered have probably all received their copies by now as well. I’m already looking forward to the challenge. There are only 9 days left until the challenge begins. I’ll put in a little more effort to produce the videos. I’ll open the code walkthrough lectures next week and let you know again.
Additionally, I’m pleased to announce a special extra benefit! Coincidentally, sales of the third edition of *Deep Learning with Keras and TensorFlow* and *Hands-On Machine Learning with PyTorch* have begun at the same time! Welcome to the “Deep Learning with Python, Third Edition” complete-reading challenge taught by the creator of Keras! :)
I’m emailing you with a few announcements.
The survey that appears when you register for the challenge collects your name, phone number, and email address. A few of those who registered did not complete the survey. This information is needed to award Gilbut points after the challenge is completed. We apologize for not informing you in advance. Please complete the survey at your convenience during the challenge period. You can enter your information by clicking the ‘Edit Survey’ button, as shown on the following screen.
We would also like to provide information regarding inquiries from several participants.
The free coupon for the coding explanation course for “K-Start Deep Learning, 3rd Edition” and the 50% discount coupon for paid courses will be issued immediately when the challenge begins (October 10). These coupons are separate from the book verification.
Gilbut points will be awarded after the challenge ends (December 18), once we provide Gilbut with the finishers’ information (name, email, and phone number). Gilbut will then provide instructions directly on how to receive the points.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to verify your book purchase with the e-book (which will be published in 1–2 months) (this is a request from Gilbut). Thank you for your understanding.
Free coupons will not be issued for the Code Explanation Course for “Deep Learning from Scratch 3rd Edition” outside of this challenge. However, if a new challenge opens in the future, a 50% discount coupon (worth 45,000 won) may be issued.
