I design and create content that allows for growth in an engaging and enjoyable way.

I believe that if you present good problems (tasks) to someone with passion, they will be able to grow, and

I mainly focus on how to present practical problems and missions that are most effective for learning.

Not Yet, But Soon

We are with everyone who isn't there yet, but will be soon.

Those who need a project 🙋‍♂️🙋🏼‍♀️

Do you happen to have these concerns right now? 🤔

I've taken some frontend courses, but now I don't know what or how to study further!

I'm a CS major but I've never done frontend development, so I just want to try doing a project!

I just want to work through one project, but bootcamp programs are too long and feel overwhelming!

I completed a bootcamp but feel my learning is insufficient and want to work on more projects

I'm working as a junior in the field, but it's frustrating because I don't have a mentor or anyone to ask for advice!

For those people, we've prepared the [Frontend Project Challenge with Industry Professionals].

You can get meaningful project-based learning and feedback from industry mentors without attending a bootcamp.

Anyone who wants to grow while building projects is welcome!

Grow joyfully by creating, sharing, and participating 🚀

Frontend Project with a Mentor 🏃🏻

Project Introduction 🔨

In this challenge, we'll work on a project with a set theme.

We'll build a timer application called DevTime from start to finish.

We've prepared the planning, design, and server in advance so you can focus solely on implementing the frontend features.

Please implement the features according to the provided requirements and materials.

In addition, it includes various features that reflect essential frontend implementation tasks such as profile settings, my page, etc.

Work on individual projects based on what you've learned, and grow together while sharing your progress along the way.

Challenge Process

The challenge runs for a total of 4 weeks.

You can have your project progress reviewed through one code review and two mentoring sessions per week.

See how professionals design, execute, and overcome challenges in projects from their perspective as you work together.

Challenge Start, Orientation

Greet fellow challenge participants and mentors. We'll introduce the project topic, how it will proceed, and the flow of code reviews and mentoring sessions.

Project Feature Implementation (Individual Work)

Each week, you'll implement the main features of your project individually, following the recommended project progression flow. If you get stuck during the process, you can ask questions and discuss them together through the learning community.

Live Mentoring

Live mentoring sessions are held twice a week with a current front-end engineer mentor. You'll receive progress checks on your project and gain various perspectives on project development from an industry standpoint.

Code Review

Once a week, you can receive code reviews on your ongoing project from current industry mentors. Code reviews are conducted through Github, and after submitting a PR and assigning a current industry mentor as the reviewer, the code review will proceed.

Learning Community

We operate a learning community where current industry mentors and fellow participants can communicate with each other and network freely. It can be lonely and difficult when you do it alone, but together you can make it to the end.

In addition, various motivational events are planned to help you successfully learn through the project.

Grow joyfully in a well-organized and managed learning environment 🚀

Mentor Introduction 👩🏼‍🏫

A mentor with real-world work experience will join the challenge.

I provide practical feedback and advice on project structure design and problem-solving methods from a real-world work perspective.

Mentor Nasil Choi

7-year Frontend Engineer

  • SixShop Frontend Engineer

  • Purplenest Web Developer

  • Codeit Sprint Frontend Mentor

  • Vanilla Coding Bootcamp Office Mentor

  • LinkedIn

When learning alone, you end up going through unnecessary trial and error.

It's a necessary process for growth, but sometimes you need someone to guide you toward a more efficient learning direction.

In this challenge, a 7-year veteran engineer will participate as a mentor to accompany participants through their growth journey.

They will introduce you to various perspectives and considerations that are difficult to know before gaining experience in the field.

Successfully complete your project-based learning with high-quality feedback from an industry mentor 🔥

PROKIT Resource Guide Provided 📚

This challenge will be conducted using the [Frontend Project Kit: Building a Timer App] resource collection.

We provide planning, design, and API endpoints so you can focus solely on implementing frontend features for a practice project over 4 weeks.

PRD (Product Requirements Document)

API Endpoints (Swagger UI)

Figma Design

Design System for Projects

We provide all the materials needed to implement the Devtime project for free to everyone participating in the challenge.

* If you have already purchased the resource materials separately from Inflearn Clip, please contact us at nybs.contact@gmail.com. We will guide you on how to apply at a discounted price equivalent to the content purchase cost.

Challenge Participation Precautions

Before participating in the challenge, please make sure to review the precautions below in advance.

This is a Skill Up Challenge for those who have sufficient prerequisite knowledge to improve their practical skills through project-based learning.

Please join the challenge with sufficient prior knowledge essential for project execution, including understanding of DOM manipulation and client event handling, asynchronous processing (Promise, async/await, etc.), API communication (utilizing fetch API, axios library, etc.), and token-based authentication/authorization.

(Required) Please choose either React.js or Next.js for your project so that the mentor can provide you with quality feedback.

(Recommended) Using TypeScript is recommended but not required.

You can freely choose other technology stacks as you participate. Since considering the technology stack during the initial project phase is also part of the learning process, you can discuss and select technologies together with your mentor after the program begins.

Reviews and mentoring from current industry mentors focus more on project design and structural aspects from a professional perspective. Detailed code reviews at the line-by-line level (grammar, variable names, function names, etc.) are encouraged to be exchanged among challenge participants.

PROKIT: We are training a code review AI optimized for Devtime project topics and requirements. Get detailed code reviews of your ongoing projects using AI.

I recommend this to anyone who wants to develop practical skills through challenges. Similar to working in the actual field, project proposals, API documentation, and Figma designs were provided, allowing me to work on the project with a real-world feel. The current industry mentor personally reviewed each student's code one by one and compiled challenging points or helpful tips to share with us, which was very beneficial.

The pre-prepared backend materials and detailed Figma style resources allowed me to focus more on the frontend project. The mentor shared packages they actually use and various useful tips, reviewed each person's code, and provided feedback by suggesting ways to improve areas where students were lacking. They also demonstrated by modifying code live, which was very helpful.

        1. Beneficial Mentoring + Code Review We had mentoring twice a week + code review once a week, and it was really beneficial. I didn't have opportunities to receive feedback at work, so I was even more satisfied to learn through the challenge 'what I was doing well and what I wasn't doing well.' Also, when I asked questions during mentoring, they answered kindly, and through this process I resolved many things I had been curious about. 2. A Project Where You Can Focus Only on FE The PRD, Figma, and API are all completed, so you can focus solely on the frontend. Even with just the frontend, there are many things to think about during implementation, so it's great for portfolios too. Since there's a lot to complete within a month, it seems you'll need to spend time on it even after the challenge ends. During the challenge, I recommend implementing and refactoring focusing on the parts you want to receive feedback on!

The mentoring and code reviews were really helpful. I was able to immediately apply what I learned to my projects, and thanks to my mentor's thorough code reviews, I was able to improve areas I had been missing. It was so good. Highly recommend!

My mentor always tried to teach me even one more thing, and thoroughly reviewed my code, which was really great. They also shared real-world work experiences, and truly every single hour of the live sessions was worthwhile - not a single hour was wasted! If there are other challenges with this mentor, I think I would join them too.
